LGBTQ+ Wedding Planning in Muskoka & Simcoe County
Thoughtful planning and coordination built around the two of you, not around assumptions about your relationship, your roles, or what your day is supposed to look like.

Every couple I work with gets the same starting point: a planner who asks what they actually want instead of assuming it. That doesn’t change because you’re LGBTQ+ — you might be planning something completely traditional, something that skips tradition entirely, or something in between. Either way, we start with the two of you, not a template.
If you’ve had to correct a vendor’s assumptions before, about who’s walking down the aisle, who’s changing a name, or what boxes a form should have, you won’t need to do that here.
What “no assumptions” actually looks like
A few of the things I ask about, rather than assume:
How you want to be addressed
Names, pronouns and titles, used correctly in every conversation, form and vendor email.
Who’s involved, and how
Wedding-party roles, who walks down the aisle (and when), and how family is or isn’t part of the day.
What stays, what changes
Traditions you want to keep exactly as they are, adapt, or skip entirely — all treated as equally normal.
Vendor communication
I brief vendors ahead of time, so you’re not the one managing anyone else’s assumptions on your wedding day.
Three levels of planning support
However much you’ve already planned, there’s a starting point that fits.
3-Month Coordination
Professional support through the final stretch and full day-of coordination.
6-Month Planning & Coordination
Hands-on planning support, vendor guidance and coordination from mid-planning through the wedding day.
12-Month Planning
Full planning from the ground up, for couples who want a partner in every decision.
All packages are starting points. Final quotes are customized based on guest count, location and scope.

I run Chrizzy Plans myself, so you’re never handed off to someone you’ve never met. I ask questions instead of making assumptions, keep you involved in the decisions that matter to you, and handle the logistics so you don’t have to.
Rooted in Muskoka & Simcoe County
Supporting weddings across cottage country and central Ontario — couples travelling north from Toronto and the GTA are always welcome.
Many of these weddings happen at a family cottage or other private property, which comes with its own logistics — I’ve planned around that plenty of times. More on that on the Wedding Services page.
“As a queer couple, we felt understood right away. There were no weird assumptions, no awkward explanations, just support that felt safe and easy.”
Ben & Mateo · CollingwoodA few questions people ask
Do you work with LGBTQ+ couples?
Yes, without caveat. It’s a normal, central part of the work I do, not a special accommodation.
Do you only plan non-traditional weddings?
No. I work with traditional and non-traditional celebrations alike — the plan is built around what you want, not a category.
Can you help with a cottage or private-property wedding?
Yes. These weddings come with logistics a standard venue would normally handle, and it’s an area I have real experience in.
What planning packages do you offer?
3-month coordination, 6-month planning and coordination, or 12-month full planning. See Wedding Services for details.
What areas do you serve?
Muskoka, Simcoe County, cottage country and the surrounding areas, including couples travelling from Toronto and the GTA.
