Real Couples, Real Weddings
A closer look at the couples who trusted Chrizzy Plans with their day — in their own words.

“It rained on our wedding day—and somehow, we wouldn’t change a thing. Christina had a backup plan ready long before the first drop fell, so there was never any panic. While we focused on getting married, she coordinated the tent, adjusted the timeline, kept our vendors informed, and made sure our guests stayed comfortable. What stood out most was how calm she remained. Whenever we looked over, Christina gave us the reassuring smile that said everything was handled. That allowed us to stop worrying about the forecast and enjoy the most romantic parts of our day. Christina planned a celebration that felt elegant, relaxed, and completely personal to us. Her attention to detail was incredible, but it was her kindness and steady presence that we’ll remember most. Chrizzy Plans didn’t simply help us prepare for our wedding—Christina helped us enjoy every moment of it, rain and all.”

“We hired Christina at Chrizzy Plans for full planning for our July 2026 wedding in Muskoka, and it was honestly one of the best decisions we made. Our biggest worry was coordinating the timeline and making sure all our vendors knew where they needed to be. Christina took that entire weight off our shoulders.
When a rain shower suddenly threatened our lakeside ceremony, Christina kept us calm while quietly reorganizing the timing and coordinating with every vendor. We barely knew what was happening behind the scenes—and shortly afterward, the sky cleared and everything went ahead beautifully.
Christina was warm, organized, patient, and always seemed to be two steps ahead. Because of her, we were able to be fully present with each other and our families instead of watching the clock or solving problems. Our Muskoka wedding felt relaxed, personal, and completely us. We’re so grateful to Christina and would recommend Chrizzy Plans in a heartbeat.”

“We wanted a small, relaxed lakeside wedding that felt more like a meaningful weekend with our favourite people than a formal production. Christina understood that immediately. She helped us plan every detail without ever making the celebration feel overdone or unlike us.
She coordinated the setup, vendors, seating, and timing so naturally that everything seemed effortless.
Walking toward the water and seeing our families gathered was one of those moments we’ll never forget. We were able to slow down and truly enjoy it because Christina had thought through everything behind the scenes. She brought such a calm, caring presence to the entire experience, and our wedding was exactly the intimate celebration we had imagined.”

“Having Christina there honestly made such a difference. We got married at our family cottage and there were so many little things happening at once that I don’t think we realized we’d need someone keeping track of. She was calm, organized and just handled things as they came up. We were actually able to enjoy the ceremony and spend time with everyone instead of worrying about what needed to happen next. By the end of the day it felt like she had known our family forever. We’re so glad we had her there.”

“We had a very specific vision for our wedding: modern, understated, and elegant, with the lake as the focus. Christina understood the assignment immediately. She helped us make confident decisions, found vendors who matched our style, and knew exactly when a detail would elevate the design—and when it would simply be too much.
Walking down the aisle and seeing everything come together against the water took our breath away. It looked refined and effortless, but still felt warm and welcoming. Christina gave us space to enjoy the experience while she took care of everything happening around us.
We felt completely supported throughout the planning process and couldn’t have imagined our wedding without her.”

“From our very first conversation, Christina made us feel completely understood. We wanted our wedding to be joyful, colourful, and personal—more like the best garden party imaginable than a traditional formal wedding. She embraced every idea and helped us bring all the pieces together without losing what made the day feel like ours.
Our biggest worry was coordinating so many decorative details in an outdoor space. There were flowers, lanterns, mismatched chairs, lighting, and several different vendors arriving within a short window. Christina created a clear plan and managed everything while we spent the morning with our closest friends.
Seeing the space filled with colour—and everyone we love gathered together—felt magical. Christina’s warmth and calm energy carried us through the whole experience. Our wedding was even more beautiful and joyful than we had imagined, and we felt genuinely cared for every step of the way.”

“We had a really clear idea of what we wanted — something small, at home, with the people who actually feel like family to us. We didn’t want it to feel like a traditional wedding, but we also didn’t want to spend the whole night worrying about food, timing or whether everyone had what they needed. Christina just got it. She kept everything moving without making the evening feel scheduled, and somehow seemed to know when we needed her and when to disappear into the background. One of my favourite memories is looking around during dinner and realizing everyone we loved was there and we weren’t thinking about a single logistical thing. We were just at our wedding. That was exactly what we wanted.”

“We knew we wanted something really small and simple, just us and no big production. Christina completely understood that from the beginning and never made us feel like our wedding was any less important because we were eloping. She helped us figure out the little details we hadn’t even thought about and made the whole day feel easy. Nothing felt rushed or overly planned, which was exactly what we wanted. It honestly just felt like we got to show up, get married and enjoy it. We wouldn’t change a thing.”

“We joked that Christina became the third person in our relationship for a few months because we talked to her so often—and truly, we don’t know how we would have planned the wedding without her.
Neither of us enjoys making endless decisions. We would debate something tiny for a week, then Christina would ask one simple question and suddenly the answer was obvious. She understood our style, respected our budget and never made us feel silly for changing our minds.
The week of the wedding, the temperature dropped much more than expected. Christina quickly helped arrange extra heaters and warm drinks so our guests would be comfortable. Meanwhile, we were blissfully unaware, getting ready and trying not to cry over our vows. Everything else ran smoothly, and for the evening, we could just be married. Christina gave us the space to have moments like that. We will always be grateful.”
Shayna & Crystal · Cookstown · October 2025
“Christina somehow made planning our wedding feel exciting instead of overwhelming. We had lots of ideas but struggled to turn them into one clear vision, and we were especially nervous about keeping the day intimate while making sure our families felt included. She listened carefully, asked all the right questions, and helped us create a celebration that felt unmistakably like us.
On the wedding day, a last-minute change meant our ceremony setup had to be adjusted. She handled it quietly and calmly while we were getting ready. By the time we arrived, everything looked beautiful—and we didn’t learn about the change until later!
The ceremony was the most emotional part of our day, and being able to be completely present with each other, meant everything to us. Christina gave us that gift. Her kindness, patience, and steady presence made us feel cared for from our first meeting to our final goodbye. We’ll always be grateful that she was part of our day!”

“I’ll admit it: when my wife suggested hiring a wedding planner, I thought we could probably handle everything ourselves. I was very wrong.
Christina caught things that hadn’t even crossed our minds, kept our spending from quietly getting out of control and made sure we actually followed through on decisions. She was direct when we needed an honest opinion, but we never felt pressured to spend more or turn our wedding into something it wasn’t.
On the morning of the wedding, the boutonnieres were delivered to the wrong location. I found out afterward that Christina had tracked them down, picked them up and delivered them to us herself. At the time, I simply assumed everything had gone according to plan—which pretty much sums up how good she is at her job.
The day looked beautiful, but more importantly, it felt easy. We ate, danced, talked to our guests and never once had to solve a problem. Even my father, who notices absolutely everything, kept saying how smoothly the day ran. Christina earned every bit of that credit.”
Eric & Jessica · Barrie · July 2025

“Quick summary: Christina is the person you want nearby when the weather is unpredictable, your veil has a mind of its own and half the family is asking where they’re supposed to be. The wind picked up just as we were leaving for our portraits. Christina helped adjust the schedule so we could wait for the worst of it to pass without losing the light. We ended up with the most dramatic sky and some of our favourite photographs. She was practical, funny and completely unflappable. There was no big speech about ‘saving the day.’ She simply dealt with things and kept moving. Our wedding was beautiful, but the best part was that it never felt stressful.”
Sonia & Quinton · Muskoka · October 2023
“I didn’t think I was nervous until I tried to tie the same tie three times.
The room was full of people, someone couldn’t find his cufflinks and we were beginning to run late. Christina popped in, found the missing cufflinks in about thirty seconds, confirmed that transportation was waiting and told us we still had time. That five-minute check-in changed the whole mood.
What I appreciated most was that she never hovered. She appeared when we needed her and gave us space when we didn’t. By the time we left for the ceremony, everyone was ready, relaxed and laughing again.
Christina is exceptionally good at reading a room. I would hire her again without hesitation.”
Chris & Johnathan · Muskoka · September 2024
“My husband cared about the food. I cared about the flowers. Our parents cared about the guest list. Christina somehow kept all of us happy.
She was especially helpful when our floral ideas started getting far beyond our budget. Instead of asking us to abandon the look, she worked with the florist to concentrate the flowers around the ceremony arch and simplify areas guests would barely notice. The result was even prettier than our original plan.
Christina has a very grounded way of working. She offered honest advice, answered our endless questions and never added pressure when we needed time to decide. Looking back, the planning process was actually fun—and we definitely can’t take credit for that!”
Becca & Mark · Muskoka · June 2024
“We were worried a dock ceremony might be a logistical nightmare. How would everyone get there? Where would older relatives sit? What happened if boats went past during our vows? Christina had an answer for everything without making it feel complicated.
The ceremony ended up being our favourite part of the entire wedding. After we exchanged vows, we looked around and saw everyone we loved standing beside the lake. We both completely lost it.
Christina gave us a few quiet minutes together before moving us into family photos, which we appreciated more than she probably realized. Nothing felt rushed, yet somehow everything stayed on time. We still don’t understand how she did that.”
Kelsey & Craig · Gravenhurst · August 2022
“I’m a planner by nature, so giving someone else control of our wedding was not easy for me. Christina quickly became the exception. She kept me involved in the decisions I cared about and quietly handled the hundred little things I didn’t need on my plate.
That morning, she even noticed that my sister’s bouquet was missing a few of the lilacs we had requested. She spoke with the florist and had it fixed before our photos began. It was a small thing, but it meant so much to both of us.
I remember standing in the orchard with my sister, finally feeling calm, and realizing I wasn’t thinking about the schedule at all. I was simply enjoying the day. That was because of Christina.”
