Last-Minute Wedding Coordinator? My 3-Month Rule Explained

Wedding Coordination Tips & Advice

Do You Still Need a Wedding Coordinator If Your Wedding Is Only Weeks Away?

Need a last minute wedding coordinator? It depends on the wedding, and it depends on my calendar — but it’s worth asking before you assume the answer is no.

If your wedding is coming up fast and you don’t have a coordinator yet, you’re probably wondering if it’s too late to get help. It’s a fair question, and an honest one deserves an honest answer instead of a guess.

Why 3-Month Coordination Is My Standard

Most of my coordination work starts three months out. That timeline gives me enough room to properly review your vendors, build your timeline and run sheet, and handle the details that make a wedding day actually run smoothly, rather than trying to piece all of that together in the final days before your wedding.

So What If You Need a Last-Minute Wedding Coordinator Right Now?

If you’re inside that three-month window, I do sometimes take on coordination closer to the wedding date, but it depends on my availability at the time, the scope of what’s left to organize, and how much groundwork you’ve already done. Because it’s outside my standard timeline, it’s priced individually rather than at a set rate, based on what your wedding actually needs.

If this is you, the best next step is to reach out directly and tell me your date and where things stand. I’ll be honest with you about whether I can help. I’d rather tell you clearly than leave you guessing.

What Actually Happens If You Wait Too Long to Ask

The biggest risk with waiting isn’t that coordination stops being useful close to the wedding. It’s that my calendar fills up, since I only take one wedding per date. The earlier you reach out, even just to ask, the better the odds I have room for you.

Is It Really Too Late to Ask?

Almost never, and that’s worth saying plainly. The couples who lose out aren’t the ones whose weddings were somehow unworkable, they’re the ones who assumed the answer was no and never asked at all. Whether you’re a few months out or a few weeks out, the only way to know for sure is to tell me your date and let me give you a straight answer.

What to Have Ready Before You Reach Out

  • Your wedding date
  • Your venue (or property, if it’s private)
  • Roughly how many guests
  • A quick sense of what’s already booked and what isn’t
